As seen during its Missouri debut, the Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit is designed to be experienced, not just viewed. In Lebanon, Missouri, the exhibit transformed a conference room at the Public Library into an active learning space over two days of programming, welcoming local classrooms alongside families and community members.

Students worked through interactive Passport Books as they moved through the panels, adults gathered around archival footage and first-person accounts, and visitors of all ages contributed their own Route 66 memories.
At the Missouri State Capitol, the exhibit became part of a multi-hour Missouri Humanities showcase, where legislators and members of the public engaged directly with the panels, films, and educational materials.
Thoughtfully designed and modular, the exhibit is easily adaptable to a range of venues, from civic buildings and libraries to museums and cultural centers, while maintaining a high-quality, immersive experience.
